Eiheiji Temple

Currently, many Unsui(itinerant monk) from all over the country are undergoing rigorous training. In the tense early morning air, the voices of sutra chanters echo throughout the temple grounds. The sight of dozens of people reciting Unsui with all their heart is an impressive sight. If you make a reservation in advance, you can participate in the early morning service.
Takidan Temple
Approximately 21 minutes on foot/approximately 5 minutes by car from the front building
The oldest temple in Mikuni Town, built in 1375. The garden within the temple was the first in Fukui Prefecture to be designated by the Ministry of Education as one of Japan's scenic gardens in 1929. In spring, Yoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry blossoms bloom, creating a calm and beautiful atmosphere in each season.
Mikuni Sunset Beach
Approximately 8 minutes on foot and train from the front building / approximately 4 minutes by car
This beach is located in the northwestern part of Mikuni Port and is popular with families with children as it is shallow. During the season, it becomes a marine resort for those who enjoy yachting, surfing, and windsurfing. It is also famous as a spot to watch the sunset over the Sea of Japan.
Tojinbo

A famous scene from a detective drama is right in front of your eyes.
It is a national natural monument located in Echizen Kaga Kaigan Quasi-National Park, and is characterized by a spectacular landscape that stretches for approximately 1 km along the coastline, woven by huge columnar rocks (columnar joints).
Oshima

Ojima, floating off the coast of Tojinbo, has been worshiped as the island of the sea gods since ancient times, and is still a mysterious island covered in dense natural forests. If you follow the promenade that goes around the island, you can fully enjoy the nature of this small island in the Sea of Japan.
Awara Onsen

At Awara Onsen, hot water is not jointly managed, and each facility has several hot spring wells. For this reason, the ingredients of the hot springs differ slightly depending on the facility, so you can enjoy the hot water with a different feel.
iris bridge

A cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 175 meters, it connects Kitagata Lakeside Park and Iris Garden, and has become a symbol of the cycling route. The unique shape and color of the cable-stayed bridge matches the natural scenery around Lake Kitagata.

Fukui Prefecture's largest wind power plant, Awara Kitagata Wind Power Plant ``Awara Yumeguruma'', is now in operation. There is also ``Awara Yumeguruma Park'' near Unit 8, where you can see the wind power plant up close and enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Kitagata, Mt. Hakusan, and the mountains of Fukui.
Kanazu Forest of Creation

Contemporary art works are permanently exhibited at the open-air museum, including the Art Core museum, which holds a variety of exhibitions. At the workshop, you can experience creating glass and pottery. This is a forest where you can experience various types of art.
Echizen Matsushima Aquarium

An experiential aquarium where you can see, touch, and have fun learning. In addition to fun attractions such as dolphin shows and penguin walks, you can touch sharks, giant octopuses, and doctor fish, and feed sea turtles and sea fish.
Maruoka Castle
Approximately 1 hour on foot and train from the front building / approximately 26 minutes by car
It was built by Katsuie Shibata and his nephew Katsutoyo on the orders of Oda Nobunaga in preparation for the Ikko Ikki uprising in 1576 during the Sengoku period. There is a Japanese garden-style park built to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the construction of Maruoka Castle, and the History and Folklore Museum exhibits items related to successive castle owners.
